The College of Engineering and Computer Science is searching for a part-time web developer and marketing coordinator. The web developer and marketing coordinator will be responsible for website maintenance and updates. Assist with social media planning, posting, and engagement, as well as event design, photography, and video production.

 

Summary of responsibilities include:

 

Website Duties:

  • Oversee websites for college departments, including management, updates and design, formatting content to optimal functionality for web, using the University content management system (CMS), under supervision of the assistant director of marketing.

  • Coordinate with departments and offices within the college for update requests, and in supporting the management of websites.

  • Prioritize web requests and projects, communicating progress and status.

  • Create or edit text, images, graphics, and documents for website use.

  • Ensure information is accurate, updated regularly, and that news and information are routinely and appropriately published.

  • Work closely with the assistant director of marketing for the college, create special project landing pages, departmental website redesigns, content migrations, etc.

  • Uphold university brand and visual standards, web guidelines, and content standards.

  • Serve as department liaison to provide ongoing support.

  • Apply responsive, mobile-friendly design, and ensure accessibility principles are applied.

  • Perform routine maintenance and other management activities to debug pages, fix broken links, improve, and develop website mapping, and professionally manage back-end files, folders, and digital assets in CMS.

 

Marketing and Other Duties:

  • Assist with or leads social media management, including developing growth strategies, reviewing post-performance, coordinating, and planning posts across various social media platforms.

  • Assist with or leads scheduling and distributing news and announcements across various college and university communications channels.

  • Use common social media practices, compose post language, helping cultivate and build content.

  • Writing skills in crafting messaging for collateral, web, social media, and so on.

  • Take photos at college events, record or stream live videos for social media or web use.

  • Assist with multimedia content development, such as editing photos, post-production for short videos, or creating animated graphics.

  • Design graphics for web, social, videos, monitors, flyers, or other needs.

  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience in a related field required.

 

Salary:

$50,000 – $55,000 per year

Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds.
