The Electrical Engineer (EE) will work with a global new product development team responsible for modular data center infrastructures, in accordance with highest standards and demanding requests. Electrical design on projects consists of high/low voltage, fire alarm and controls systems, integration with other disciplines – architectural, structural, mechanical. Focus is on standardized system designs, component selections, calculations, code compliance for North America applications. The EE will also work with supply chain and manufacturing teams from concept to detail design and production build.
Responsibilities:
System engineering, energy systems integration, solving issues etc. to ensure compliance to codes and standards of national and international safety agencies
Checking design documentation:
power schematics (single and multi-line)
power calculation
general floor plan
lighting and small power layouts
grounding and bonding system design
cable transit and cable tray layouts
cable running list
fire detection and suppression layout
sensors, monitoring and control layout
erection and maintenance manuals
FAT and SAT procedures
Communication with other Vertiv engineering specialists to design the best solutions
Selection of power system equipment and suppliers
Performing solution test procedures for internal control
Working on multiple parallel projects
Collaborate with local service to beneficially improve design
Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
Coordination with material and service suppliers during project execution
Post-delivery support to customer
Pre-sales support – solution development, quotations, solution presentations to customers
Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering
Required experience 3+ years on similar positions
Proficient modeling skills required, preferred: Revit; EPLAN
Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
