Ready to reach your potential? It’s time to look at Taylor.

Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications that process high volumes of customer-supplied data and document components. You will work closely with the development team and Technical Lead to integrate applications with third-party document composition, data cleansing, validation, and ERP systems. This position involves solving complex technical challenges, improving application performance, and mentoring less experienced developers while contributing to high-visibility projects.

Work Authorization:

To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications supporting internal business requirements and external customers.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and test plans to ensure application functionality, quality, and reliability.
  • Review code and test plans to ensure compliance with established standards and adequate test coverage.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Re-engineer, modernize, and migrate existing applications while implementing complex enhancements.
  • Evaluate and architect solutions to improve high-volume data processing and application efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party document composition, data cleansing, validation, and ERP systems.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend software components and third-party development tools to improve productivity.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented code following established coding standards and secure data handling practices.
  • Establish, follow, and recommend improvements to coding, testing, documentation, and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain technical documentation in application code and issue tracking systems to support team collaboration.
  • Mentor less experienced developers and provide guidance on coding, testing, and development practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements, communicate project status, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Independently manage complex, high-visibility projects with challenging development schedules and changing priorities.
  • Participate in off-hours or on-call support as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications using C#.

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Experience re-engineering, modernizing, or migrating existing software applications.
  • Experience architecting software solutions for high-volume data processing and application efficiency.
  • Experience integrating applications with third-party document composition, data cleansing, validation, or ERP systems.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and reviewing code and test plans.
  • Experience evaluating and recommending third-party software components and development tools.
  • Experience establishing or improving coding, testing, documentation, and quality assurance standards.
  • Experience working on complex, high-visibility software development projects.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $102,000-115,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
