Accounts Receivable Specialist (Entry Level) at Environmental Resources Management Michigan, Inc

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for day-to-day collection activities;

  • Inquire on delinquent accounts via phone and or email

  • Actively document client issues including promises to pay and client payment issues

  • Work with client, management, and internal departments to determine alternative payment options when necessary

  • Research and resolve client issues and payment activity; ability to identify root cause and propose a solution(s)

    • Write offs

    • Reimbursements

    • Reapplication requests

  • Enforce collections policies and procedures when reviewing, monitoring, and handling accounts receivables

  • Communicate and correspond with external and internal clients in a timely and professional manner

  • Use collection tools appropriately to drive efficiencies

  • Ensure DSO/Collections objectives established by the Division are met and support the business growth

  • Manage Receivables email box.

  • Pull cash receipts

    • Appy cash daily

    • Reconcile cash weekly

    • Manage unapplied accounts

  • Reporting

    • Update A/R Weekly Spreadsheet

    • Perform Reconciliations to drive collections as necessary

     

    *Must be Intermediate level in Excel.

    *Minimum corporate experience 3-5 years; High School Diploma (Bachelors preferred)
