We have an excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer-Intern for our New Product Development Group in our Mountain Top, PA facility.
Summary:
Activities range from engineering change order execution, working in and improving existing data bases and processes, R&D, analysis, sourcing, testing, and manufacturing integration. Come join us and get your design juices flowing!
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
Become familiar with engineering design procedures and practices
Assist with developing and designing new parts and complete systems related to coiling overhead doors
Use Autodesk Inventor to design and layout part and assembly drawings and apply standard drafting practices
Develop engineering standards and calculations to govern infinitely variable designs for implementation into ERP system
Assist with generating Engineering Change Orders
Develop installation instructions
Contribute to new product ideas
Interact with manufacturing from design to production.
Oversee and/or perform assembly and testing of engineering prototypes
Work with technician to develop prototypes
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering major
Hands on experience with basic shop tools
Knowledge and application of Excel, Word
Excellent communication skills and ability to work on a team
Be dedicated, self-initiating, and passionate about mechanical design, implementation and improvement
