Position Overview:

Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team at our new Columbia County hospital. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a cutting-edge trauma service within a modern facility equipped with the latest technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Provide expert orthopedic trauma care, including surgical interventions and post-operative management.

• • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, critical care, and rehabilitation specialists.

• • Participate in trauma call coverage and support the hospital’s commitment to excellent trauma services.

• • Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical research initiatives as applicable.

• • Mentor and train residents and medical students (if affiliated).

Qualifications:

• • MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency.

• • Fellowship training in orthopedic trauma preferred.

• • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.

• • Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.

• • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

• • Commitment to patient-centered care and community health.
