About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Systems / Data Analyst to support its Technical Services organization within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
This position will serve as the primary Planisware System Administrator, with responsibility for platform configuration, governance, user access, and ongoing enhancements. The Systems / Data Analyst will also develop and maintain reporting and data solutions utilizing Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience administering and configuring Planisware, developing Power BI dashboards, and supporting SharePoint environments. Previous pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated-industry experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Planisware subject matter expert and system administrator.
- Own Planisware configuration, user access management, system governance, and ongoing platform enhancements.
- Partner with IT and global stakeholders to maintain and improve the Planisware environment.
- Design, deploy, and continuously improve systems and data platforms, including SharePoint sites, project tracking tools, and enterprise reporting infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and performance reports.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data from multiple sources and translate findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Build and manage systems supporting annual planning cycles, milestone tracking, and portfolio-level reporting.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical or functional specifications.
- Establish and maintain efficient data archiving and records-management processes to support data integrity and compliance requirements.
- Leverage Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, and AI tools to develop self-service reporting solutions and improve team efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, and IT.
- Communicate data findings and system updates clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot system issues, oversee routine updates, and support data integration across multiple platforms.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting, and data processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in a systems, data, business analyst, or related role.
- Hands-on Planisware experience, including system administration, configuration, or advanced power-user responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Strong Microsoft SharePoint experience, including site design and administration.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical or functional solutions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, medical device, or other regulated-industry experience.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Planisware within a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Experience supporting PMO, portfolio management, R&D, or technical operations organizations.
- Experience working in a GxP-regulated environment.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 compliance requirements.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Lean or continuous-process-improvement experience.
