Project Manager at Corplex

Corplex is a growing and dynamic construction company experienced in all types of building construction specialising in industrial markets. Our success is realised through the skill and dedication of individuals working together as a team to achieve common goals.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team at our Port Melbourne office on a contract basis delivering a $30 million job.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Build strong and ongoing working relationships with clients, trades and key stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain construction schedules for projects

  • Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members.

  • Manage a portfolio of projects.

  • Deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all design is in accordance with specifications, client requirements, regulations, authority requirements and contract.

  • Manage the financial aspects of each project.

  • Reporting of project status and forecasting

  • Chair internal and external meetings as required for project delivery

  • Manage site teams to ensure all construction is in accordance with the approved architectural & engineering drawings, specifications, regulations, authority requirements and contract.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 year’s experience as a Project Manager in either – commercial and/or industrial sector.

  • Tertiary qualified in Construction Management or related discipline.

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction project management.

  • Ability to identify and solve problems quickly using experience and technical knowledge

  • Means to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of writing high quality contract scopes and specification documentation.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated project management skills, effective negotiation skills and decision-making abilities.
