We are seeking a mid-level VCF / VMware Engineer to join an established enterprise technology organization in a fully remote capacity. This is a full-time opportunity supporting a large-scale virtualized infrastructure environment, with a focus on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, and enterprise virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on VMware experience and be comfortable managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing highly available virtual infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

· 3+ years of experience supporting VMware / virtual infrastructure environments

· Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter

· Experience administering and troubleshooting virtual machines and ESXi hosts

· Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) or a strong understanding of VCF architecture

· Experience with VMware clusters, HA, DRS, vMotion, and resource management

· Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and enterprise infrastructure

· Experience troubleshooting performance, availability, and connectivity issues

· Understanding of enterprise storage technologies and SAN/NAS environments

· Understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, and routing

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills & Experience

· Experience with VMware NSX / NSX-T

· Experience with VMware Aria / vRealize technologies

· Experience with VCF lifecycle management and deployments

· Experience with VMware HCX

· Experience with PowerCLI and/or PowerShell

· Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts

· Experience with enterprise backup technologies such as Veeam

· Experience with Cisco networking or similar enterprise networking platforms

· Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

· VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV or related certifications

· Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data centers

Daily Responsibilities

· 60% Hands On Engineering

· 15% Infrastructure Monitoring & Troubleshooting

· 25% Team Collaboration

· Administer and support enterprise VMware infrastructure across multiple environments

· Manage and troubleshoot VCF, vCenter, ESXi hosts, clusters, and virtual machines

· Perform VM provisioning, migrations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management

· Troubleshoot virtualization, compute, storage, and networking issues

· Support VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, and other core virtualization technologies

· Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of VCF environments

· Support NSX networking and security components

· Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability

· Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives

· Develop and maintain PowerCLI/PowerShell automation where appropriate

· Collaborate with networking, storage, security, cloud, and systems engineering teams

· Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures

· Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
