Description/Job Summary

Lindahl Reed is seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep experience in federal facility and infrastructure programs to oversee and support complex, multi-disciplinary design-build projects for government clients. U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) experience is strongly preferred; candidates with equivalent experience managing federal agency facility programs or large commercial design-build programs are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate brings senior-level project management expertise, the ability to navigate complex government contracting environments, and a track record of delivering high-value projects on time and within budget. Approximately 75 days per year of travel to client sites and meetings is required.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead multi-million-dollar design-build projects as the owner’s representative or technical specialist through all phases — initiation through closeout — ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies across a portfolio of technically complex federal infrastructure projects.
• Serve as primary client interface for assigned projects; build and maintain productive working relationships with government officials, Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and program managers.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams; oversee subcontractor performance and vendor relationships.
• Deliver client presentations, status reports, and strategic briefings/communications; proactively manage expectations and resolve complex project issues.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for scope additions, change orders, and follow-on work.
• Support proposal development, capture activities, pricing strategies, and teaming arrangements.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• 12+ years of combined engineering and project management experience, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Minimum 10 years of federal facility or infrastructure program experience. U.S. Coast Guard experience is strongly preferred; equivalent experience with other federal agencies (e.g., NOAA, USACE, Navy) or large commercial design-build programs will be considered.
• Demonstrated track record managing design-build construction projects exceeding $5M in value, from procurement through construction completion.
• Experience with maritime or waterfront infrastructure programs is a plus.
• Owner’s Representative experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
• Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, or similar).
• Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), government contracting processes, and federal engineering standards.
• Understanding of federal agency organizational structures and interagency coordination
• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass a government-administered background investigation in order to be granted a Common Access Card and access to government IT systems.
