As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Resort Operations, Sales & Marketing) area to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally, works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision-making process.
Specific Job Summary
As a member of the Corporate Human Resources support staff, he/she works with Human Resources employees to carry out the daily activities of the Human Resource Office including oversight of recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. Additionally, he/she focuses on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success; as well as ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and operating procedures.
Generic Expected Contributions
Performs more complex quantitative and qualitative analysis for business processes and/or projects. Often manages small projects, business processes or parts of larger ones.

Managing Recruitment and Hiring Process
Manages the full-cycle recruiting efforts for assigned client group, to include assisting in the interviewing and selection process.
Attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.
Oversees/monitors candidate identification and selection process for hourly and management roles in assigned client group.
Provides subject matter expertise to managers regarding selection procedures for roles in assigned client group.
Performs quality control on candidate identification/selection.
Compensation
Manages and administers compensation programs within and as established by Compensation COE. Will consult with Compensation COE and AVP Corporate HR accordingly.
Advises and recommends to all levels of management appropriate compensation actions/adjustments to attract, retain and motivate employees.
Partners with AVP Corporate HR and Compensation COE on pay administration guidelines, including annual performance/merit increase guidelines.
Partners with AVP Corporate HR and Compensation COE on issues relating to wage parity/analysis.
Administering and Educating Employee Benefits
Works with the unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims; reviews provider reports for accuracy and corrects errors.
Maintaining Associate Relations
Assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels (e.g., develops communications and assists with regularly scheduled meetings).
Reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, checks for supportive documentation and is accountable for determining appropriate action.
Utilizes an “open door” policy to acknowledge employee problems or concerns in a timely manner
Ensures employee issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution or escalated to the appropriate corporate COE as appropriate.
Partners with Safety & Security to conduct associate accident investigations, as necessary.
Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
Managing Legal and Compliance Practices
Ensures compliance with procedure for accessing, reviewing, and auditing associate’s files and ensure compliance with the Privacy Act.
Reviews adherence to the Federal Wage and Hour Law/Fair Labor Standards Act and other legal requirements.
Ensures medical records are maintained in a separate, secure and confidential medical file.
Communicates property rules and regulations via the associate handbook.
Oversees the selection/non-selection and offers processes to ensure proper procedures are followed (e.g., valid reasons for selection/non-selection and applicants receive status notifications).
Manage I-9 Verification, filing and audit processes.
Ensure HR related compliance posters are current and visible

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:
Generally, a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology). College degree and/or related experience typically required.
Specific Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar discipline or related experience.
Experience
At least three years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a management role.
Experience as a generalist in all aspects of Human Resources, including Compensation, Unemployment, Worker’s Compensation and Compliance, Talent Management and Talent Acquisition, and Associate Relations/Work Environment issues.
Experience in a corporate environment, matrix organization preferred.
PHR or SHRM – CP certification preferred.
