JOB SUMMARY

Lead Metro Specification & Sales efforts with responsibility for delivering Revenue Growth. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead & Inspire a team consisting of Specification & Sales Representatives

  • Set & Hold Team Accountable for Annual Performance Objectives

  • Deliver on Annual Metro Revenue Goals

  • Drive growth agenda: Project Tracking Reviews & Execute Marketing Calendar

  • Demand Creation: Build Opportunity Pipeline through Target Projects, Target Accounts and Erosion Recapture

  • Demonstrate ability to strategically approach accounts, develop programs, negotiate pricing and win business.

  • Talent Management: Develop Current Team, Build Bench Strength, Identify & Address Underperformers. Hire, On-Board & Develop New Team Members

  • Implement price increases and react to competitive activity with proper documentation.

  • Develop Customer Base, Regional Sales and Marketing Programs

  • Work with direct accounts to solicit new business.

  • Target specific accounts for new product sales or increased penetration of existing sales.

  • Develop and analyze sales reports to determine where both growth and decline in sales is occurring

  • Provides feedback to internal customers (e.g. – Design, Manufacturing & Marketing departments) regarding the service & surfacing needs of the customer base.

  • Monitor and approve sales representative’s expense accounts.

  • Monitor sales reps weekly call reports using the current report method.

  • Work with operations team to ensure our service levels support new & on-going business

  • Participates in industry related supplier events, associations & trade shows.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces and its value proposition.

  • Experience with marketing, sales and specification principles.

  • In-Depth understanding of Decision Making Value Chain from Demand Creation to Demand Fulfillment

  • Demonstrated ability to value sell in the Building Materials Segment

  • Ensures Accountability & Drives for Results

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Software capabilities (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)

  • Ability to communicate well in oral and written formats with all levels of our organization and our customer’s.

  • Ability to sell products and concepts.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to travel.

  • Ability to make professional public presentations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years

Experience selling into the Building Materials Segment

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing or sitting in the same location; may require to stoop, climb or lift light material (<10lbs) or equipment. Examples: programmers, receptionists, medical technologists, dishwashers and security guards
