Our Practice

Patches Assessment Services has clinic sites in Western Australia – Perth, Exmouth, Port Hedland, Broome, Derby and Kununurra; the Northern Territory - Darwin and Alice Springs; and new service sites in TAS, VIC, NSW and SA. Our Paediatricians work within a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists.

The clinical team are extensively supported by administrative staff and corporate services. Our mission is to provide excellence in assessment of complex neurodevelopmental conditions for children, youth and adults. Patches operates a metropolitan service, and provides outreach to regional, remote and Aboriginal community settings, and Justice and Child Protection settings.

The Role

Patches is seeking Paediatricians to work on a casual basis, located in our brand new office in Adelaide CBD on Flinders St. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will conduct complex neurodevelopmental and behavioural assessments, diagnosis and management planning in paediatric clients, including from culturally and linguistically diverse populations and in corrective services settings.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have the ability to diagnose, as part of a multidisciplinary team, complex conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, ADHD, and common Mental Health Conditions.

The applicant will have the ability to provide clinical feedback to families following a diagnosis, and provide follow up management of a caseload of clients in liaison with general practitioners and community/ general paediatricians.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Senior Registrar completing training, Fellow, junior or established Consultant

  • Fellowship of the of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • A dynamic, patient-oriented approach to medicine, with an openness to innovation and enterprise
