Human Resources Generalist at Rich Products Corporation

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Human Resource Generalist provides day to day HR consultative services to Associates and Management as part of the Shared Services model. Also will work closely with Manager, HR Shared Services, Associate Services/Payroll Services, HR Centers of Expertise (COE) and Strategic HR Business Partners (BPs) to achieve the needs of the business.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Partnership with Strategic HR Business Partners and HR COEs/Project Support (70%) Partners with the Strategic HR Business Partners and HR COEs to provide support in:

  • Project management duties related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and new integrations 

  • Low complexity organizational design to include job analysis, job descriptions, etc.

  • Facilitating new hire process/procedures/orientation

  • Ensuring data integrity

  • Compensation administration to include recommendations, administration of common review process and distribution of merit

  • Facilitating terminations

  • Associate Engagement support (i.e.; focus groups, etc.)

  • Talent Management support (i.e.; Manager in Training program, facilitation of company programs, engagement, etc.)

  • Provide support for specific strategic initiatives as needed

  • Create/Run reports as needed

  • Provide additional support for special projects as needed

 

Associate Relations (30%):

  • Partners with Associates and Management to communicate and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and government regulations regarding HR

  • Partners with Associate and Management to resolve issues (performance or otherwise) to include coaching, counseling both Associates and Managers to win/win resolution

  • Partners with COE and BPs to address Associate development needs, career counseling, etc.

  • Escalates issues of particular concern to the Strategic HR Business Partner

  • Ensure performance management tools and processes are applied consistently

  • Conduct investigations to include harassment, EEOC claims, etc.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years generalist level human resources experience or Masters in human resources, MBA and a minimum of 3 years human resources experience

  • Coaching and consulting skills with demonstrated record of problem solving and diagnosis skills

  • Solid communication skills (verbal, written and listening)

  • Basic knowledge of compensation planning and administration

  • Solid understanding of human resource processes and knowledge (i.e. Employment Law, Recruitment, Selection, and Retention, Associate Relations, compensation).

  • Project management

  • Ability to establish trust, and work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence

  • Strong PC skills to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to handle confidential information

 

Preferred:

  • Training skills experience

  • Professional HR Certification

  • Experience with Manufacturing Operations

  • Basic organizational development knowledge

  • HR governance knowledge
